Reference to subject/theme - These stamps are all characters from various famous Walt Disney movies.
Date of subject/theme - These various charcters were all created/animated during different dates throughout the 1990's.
Date Stamp was Designed - It's hard to read the date in the lowerleft hand corners, but I think it says 2008...?
Significance - These stamps are well-known throughout the worldand are like cartoon celebrities. Even after being around for yearsWalt Disney movies are loved and watched by many people of allages.
Shape of Postage Stamp - They are all longer vertically thanhorizontally, but not by a great amount.
Four Color - All of these stamps have a purple background, andhave "cartoon" like colors.
Type of Central Image - There is no illustration.
Line Detailing - The borders are simply white.
Typographical Layout - There is no type besides the 39 cents and USA in the upper right corner, which is horizontal.
Hierarchical Arrangement - For example, the focal point for The Lady& The Tramp is Tramp, then your eyes move down the spagehetti to Lady, down to the plate of food.
Position - All the stamps are asymmetrical.
Compositional Devices - For example, Lady & Tramp's stamp could be split into a grid, and you would see that Tramp's nose would be placed on two intersecting lines in the grid, along with Lady's.
Type of Balance - Asymmetrical.
Illusion of Space/Depth - Because these stamps are using cartoon characters I feel there isn't much depth to them.
Relationship of Postive and Negative Space - There seems to be a well thought amount of positive and negative space; the designsare not too busy.

Bette Davis

Country of Origin - Made in the USA.
Reference to Subject/Theme - Bette Davis is a famous movie actress.
Date of Subject/Theme - 1930's.

Shape - Rectangle.
Four Color - "Rich" colors, almost "vintage" colors.
Type of Central Image - White font, older design.
Line Detailing - White boder.
Interpretive Dimension of Type - Placed on the top of the stamp to give a visual.
Typographical Layout - Horizontal type.
Hierarchical Arrangement - Her face seems to be the focal point, because it is placed in the middle, then the text, and then down to her gloves and the 41 USA.
Position - Asymmetrical.
Compositional Devices - If you placed a grid over the stamp, the lines would cross over her eyes and hand.
Type of Balance - Asymmetrical, only because of her hand being in the photo.
Illusion of Space - It has depth, you can see it because of her face and hair.
Relationship of Postive/Negative Space - There is not much negative space.

Four Color - Uses different shades of, what looks like grayish-blue, and black and white.

Line Detailing - Grayish-blue border.
Interpretive Dimension of Type - Placed on the far right side, in the middle, along with upper left.
Typographical Layout - Vertical and horizontal type.
Hierarchical Arrangement - Yoda's nose appears to be the focal point, then the text, then around to the upper corner.
Position - Asymmetrical.
Compositional Devices - If you places a grid over the stamp, the lines would cross over Yoda's nose and hand.
Type of Balance - Asymemetrical.
Illusion of Space - There seems to be depth, because of the shadows.
