This is a very nice design! I like the symbolism, but I feel like the "Votes for Women" somewhat lessens the impact of the bottom half. It almost feels like a campaign poster. There may be a better way to incorporate that text if you really like it in there. Again, very nice design and fits perfect with your concept!
I really like this design too. Not sure if you meant it this way but I really like how you have "equality" somewhat wavey. Gives the impression that equality for women was up and down at the time and possibly still is today. Great design!!!
